"Making the Complex Simple"
ADRs are complicated financial tools that allow investors outside the United States to invest directly in U.S. corporations. It is difficult to explain the instrument, how it is processed, and what regulations govern it. Citibank had a brochure for this purpose, but asked us to develop a new one that explains ADRs more clearly. We provided a guide with simpler language accompanied by bold diagrams and charts. It was so successful that the same approach was applied when EDRs were introduced with the advent of the Euro.

In text and graphics, we emphasized the ability to connect, access and act upon detailed information any time, anywhere. Elegant repeating curves underscore the theme of constant connection and help to unify the book, while moving the eye through its pages.

Because confidentiality ruled out using case studies to establish SRC’s credentials, we took a dramatically novel approach to the story that would allow us to appeal to the European aesthetic. Identifying seven qualities that separate SRC from the competition, we illustrated the power of these qualities to produce extraordinary results. The combination of stunning illustrations, graphic elegance and crisp copy quickly positioned SRC as bright, secure and sophisticated.

Working together, our writers and designers developed compelling copy and visual presentations that create just the right tone one that is reassuring, upbeat and inspiring. The examples shown here are for Security Solutions, a service providing complete crisis management assistance to businesses before, during and after a crisis, and The Way Forward, a service providing grief-counseling for the beneficiaries of the AIG Companies’ policies.

To make an impression in this environment, La Scuola’s materials needed boldly underscore the school’s core differentiators: its serious approach to rigorous academics, its unique classicaland bilingualcurricula, and its safe, nurturing environment. The new brochure employs strong traditional design and colors to support straightforward text that emphasizes academic quality over marketing hype.
